I am currently teaching at a local grammar school and have had over 30 years of teaching and tutoring experience. During this time I have held the posts of Head of Science and Head of KS3. As a current teacher I am incredibly familiar with the exam boards and specifications and offer up-to-date exam technique advice to help my students score top marks in their exams. Whilst teaching, I have worked on thinking skills and have consulted on this in various schools, meaning I tailor my tutoring to how best each individual student learns. I help many students with personal statements to gain successful places at university, including medical schools, helping with interview technique and practice. I am passionate about education and committed to making it fun and accessible to all my students.

I am a graduate-entry medical student in my first year. Having gone through the application process myself, I understand how daunting applying to medical school can be, and I am committed to using my own experience to help other students achieve their place at medical school. I can provide a unique experience using my own successful exam and interview preparation materials to help students do their best both in the UCAT and at interview. I have conducted mock interviews with prospective medical students, many of whom have gone on to successfully achieve places. With my teaching and advice, I aim to work with my students in a way that is best tailored to them to give them the chance to show the universities how great they are!  With over two years of tutoring experience, I also offer Maths, Science and English tuition to GCSE level.
